The AVS is a DEAP activated Multi-position, Multi-cycle Flow Divertor. It can be run anywhere in the drillstring or BHA, even below an MWD as there are no balls or darts to drop to activate. It has 3 positions; Thru-bore, Splitflow for Hole Cleaning While Drilling and Full Bypass for LCM dump or rapid well
This totally replaces the need to drop balls, darts, electronic tags or anything down the drillpipe or tubing to activate a downhole tool such as a circulating sub, reamer, packer or anything that previously required a ball or some such device to activate.

The AVS is specifically designed to offer enhanced hole cleaning while drilling with its unique Split Flow position. This allows the optimum use of available surface pressure to increase Annular Velocity while still keeping enough hydraulics to drive BHA components. Specific Split Flow software is used for this purpose.

IDT-Innovar’s mission is to eliminate the need to drop balls, darts or anything down the drillstring to activate a downhole tools. Drop ball / dart tools have limitations in highly technical wells. Our DEAP technology eliminated the need for dropping anything down the drillstring, relying on simple drillstring dynamics such as RPM and/or pump cycles to signal the tool to change position. This takes minutes regardless of the depth or inclination of the well.
Also, there is no need to break the drillpipe to drop balls, darts or RFID tags. No need to enter the RED zone.
